- "Middlemarch (First Edition Rebound)", 1871. (transcription volumes: 1, 2, 3, 4) This edition reproduces the rebound version of the first edition known as either 1a or 1b (Guinea Edition) printed from the stereotype plates used for the first edition. It contains some corrections of errata.
- "Middlemarch (Second (Cheap) Edition)", 1874 This edition reproduces the Second Edition (also known as the Cheap Edition) that is the basis of most modern reprints, such as the Clarendon and Norton editions.
- Third Edition (Cabinet Edition) (transcription volumes: 1, 2, 3) There is no evidence that George Eliot contributed to this printing and it is generally disregarded.
