November's winy sunset leaves,Deep in the silver heavens far.One ruby-hearted starThat lit the summer's moon-forsaken eves.

Under its ray, remote, alone,Ascends upon the ashen gloomThe ghostly, faint perfumeFrom autumn's grey, forgotten roses flown.
