COALITION PROVISONAL AUTHORITY ORDER NUMBER 58

MAYSAN AND MUTHANNA COURTS OF APPEAL

Pursuant to my authority as Administrator of the Coalition Provisional Authority, and
under the laws of war, and consistent with relevant U.N. Security Council
resolutions, including Resolutions 1483 and 1511 (2003),

Recognizing the importance of the proper and efficient administrator of the court
system,

Recognizing further that the former regime manipulated the court system against
discouraged regions and people of Iraq by denying them access to local justice,

Section 1
Establishment of Courts of Appeal in Maysan and Muthanna govenerates

Pursuant to Article 16 (3) of the Judical Organization code, Law NO. 160 of 1979,
there and hereby established Court of Appeal districts of Mayson and Muthanna
governorates.

Section 2
Entry into Force

This Order shall enter into force on the date of signature.
