United States Department of Justice

The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) is a Cabinet department in the Federal Government of the United States charged with enforcing the law and defending the interests of the United States according to the law and with ensuring fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans. The DOJ is administered by the United States Attorney General, a cabinet position established by the Judiciary act of 1789 with Edmund Randolph first holding the office. Pam Bondi is the current Attorney General, with Emil Bove as deputy.
