10. An official authorised by the Secretary General of the Council for Democratic Reform Assistant Secretary

The Committee to Oversee the Opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport shall have the powers and duties according to the Regulation of the Office of the Prime Minister on Suvarnabhumi Airport Development, 2545 BE and shall have the following powers and duties also:

  1. to oversee the opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport on the 28th day of September 2549 in order for it to proceed in a smooth manner;
  2. to coordinate and follow up the activities of the committees established by other laws or orders or of the public entities, state enterprises, other state agencies, local public agencies, and persons concerned, in order for the opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport to proceed in a smooth manner;
  3. to take and consider recommendations from the airlines and persons concerned;
  4. to give instructions and rulings on all problems that have occurred, in order for the opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport to proceed in a smooth manner;
  5. to give recommendations as to the inviting of His Majesty the King to formally open Suvarnabhumi Airport;
  6. to establish subcommittees or appoint persons to be charged with carrying out any activities and reporting [the results] to the Committee to Oversee the Opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport for its information;
  7. to perform other acts as necessary and appropriate.

The concerned committees established by other laws or orders, public entities, state enterprises, state agencies, local public agencies, and persons shall execute the instructions, requests, and rulings of the Committee to Oversee the Opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport without delay.

This Order shall take effect from now on.
