Royal Gazette
31 December 2499
Note:The reasons for promulgation of this Act are as follows: Whereas persons who have completed education in the field of accountancy are not granted degrees but certificates of accountancy which are equivalent to bachelor's degrees; and whereas the curriculum of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy has been revised for promotion of the growth of the education in these fields at the levels of bachelor's degree and master's degree; and whereas accountancy is taught at Thammasat University in the same manner as the subjects at other faculties or sections in the same university; therefore, persons who have completed education in the field of accountancy should be given the title of banchibandit instead of certificates of accountancy which are already equivalent to bachelor's degrees.
