ASUCI elected position, the Executive Cabinet shall choose another member of the Executive Cabinet to Chair the Elections Commission. No Executive Cabinet Member may serve as Chair of the Elections Commission who has declared candidacy for an ASUCI elected office

2. Any decision of the Elections Commission shall be final unless appealed to the Judicial Board.
3. Two (2) regular elections shall be held each year, one (1) during the Fall quarter and one during the Spring quarter.
4. One (1) Winter quarter special election will be held at the request of a validated referendum, initiative, or recall petition.
5. The specific dates for regular and special elections shall be set by the Legislative Council as prescribed in the Elections Code.


ARTICLE X

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

Section A

Amendments to this Constitution may be made by either of the following two (2) methods:

1. Upon approval of a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the voting members of the Legislative Council.
2. Upon presentation of a petition, signed by ten percent (10%) of the undergraduate students to the Legislative Council.

Upon fulfillment of either (a) or (b) above, the Legislative Council shall submit said amendment to a vote of the undergraduate students. Regular election procedures shall be followed as prescribed by the Elections Code and the last paragraph of Article VIII of this Constitution.


Section B

The Legislative Council shall arrange for proper publicity of the election, which shall include, but is not limited to, the publications and broadcast of the full text of the amendment in the various student media during the school week prior to the election. Full texts shall also be made available at the polls and at the other regular distribution locations.


Section C

A two-thirds (2/3) vote, with at least twenty percent (20%) of the Associated Students voting and the approval of the Chancellor, shall be required for the adoption of the amendment(s).
