Duties to be paid on Goods imported by the East India Company, &c. sold at the Public Sales.)IV. And be it further enacted, That the new and additional Duties of Customs granted by this Ace upon Goods, Wares, and Merchandize imported by the United Company, of Merchants of England trading 10 the East Indies, shall be due and payable upon all such Goods, Wares, and Merchandize, (Tea, Wines, Sugar, Raw Silk; and Cotton Wool excepted), as shall fruit and after the passing of this Act be sold at the public Sales of the said Company, and shall be paid or secured in such Manner and at such Times, and subject to such Rules, Regulations, and Restrictions as are prescribed and directed with respect to the Payment of any former Duties of Customs upon such Goods, Wares, and Merchandize respectively provided also; that the said new and additional Duties of Customs shall be due and payable on all Goods, Wares, and Merchandize imported by the said United Company which shall remain in the Warehouses of the said Company at the passing of this Act, and which shall not have been said at the public Sales of the said Company, notwithstanding such Goods, Wares, and Merchandize may have been imported into Great Britain before the passing of this Act.

Parties may be secured by Bond.V. And be it further enacted, That in all Cases where the Whole or any Part of the Duties of Customs due on the Importation or Exportation of any Goods, Wares, and Merchandize, are permitted to be secured by Bond, by Virtue of any Act of Acts of Parliament in Force at the Time of such Importation for Exportation, the new and additional Duties of Customs granted by this Act may, in like Manner, and under the same Rules, Regulations, Restrictions, and Conditions, be permitted to be secured by Bond,
