like C. hillanum of the green sand, and quadrupeds of the peculiar marsupial races to which the Stonesfield animal is referred by Cuvier, seem to invite attention to the yet unexplored sea and land of this prolific region, as likely to yield still farther analogies to ancient animals and plants, and, by consequence, to furnish new and important grounds for determining the ancient physical conditions of the globe.[1]
