ſhall never be converted; or as a cloud of Heaven, full of dark‍neſs, thunder, and lightning, they ſtop their ears with their fin‍gers, by reaſon of the noiſe, and for fear of death; but God ſeeth the unbelievers, he cauſed lightning to approach, that raviſhed from them their ſight; they have followed what appear‍ed to them, and are detained in darkneſs: But if God had pleaſed, he had deprived them, both of hearing, and ſight; for he is omnipotent. O People! worſhip your Lord, who created you, and all that were before you; it may be. That you will fear him that hath extended the Earth, that raiſed the Heaven, and cauſed Rain to deſcend; that cauſed the production of Fruits to enrich you. Say not, that God hath a companion equal to him, becauſe you know the contrary. If you doubt that I have ſent my ſervant come, and bring ſome Chapters like to the Alcoran, and call to witneſs the Idols that you adore; if you are good men, if you have not done it. or cannot perform it, Fear the fire of Hell prepared for Infidels, and Idolaters; and declare to true believers, who do good works, That they ſhall enjoy the immenſe pleaſures of Paradiſe, wherein How many Rivers; they ſhall there finde all ſorts of fair and ſavory Fruits, which God hath prepared for them; they ſhall conſider, if they be like to ſuch as they had before in the world: They ſhall there have wives, fair, and delicate, and ſhall dwell in eternal felicity. God is not aſhamed to compare a little *‍The Puny is a ſtinking Worm, frequently growing in Beds in hot Countries. Puny to an extream Great‍neſs: Now, ſo it is, that true believers know, that it proceedeth from their Lord. The wicked demand, what God doth mean by that compariſon? He by this means miſ-leadeth, and directeth many men; but miſ-leadeth none, but the diſobedient. Such as pervert his Teſtament, and his Promiſes; ſuch as retrench his Commandments, and defile the Earth, are damned. Why will you be impious, ſeeing that God hath given you life after death? He will cauſe you to dye, he will raiſe you again, and you ſhall all return before him to be judged. He it is, that created whatever is upon Earth, and aſcending to Heaven, hath ordained ſeven Heavens, knowing all things. See Kitab el tenoir. Remember to inſtruct men , that thy Lord ſaid to his Angels, I would create a Vicar upon Earth;
