WEHEREAS it hath pleased Almighty God in His great goodness to vouchsafe this year unto Our Dominion of Canada a bountiful crop and other blessings,—
We therefore considering that these blessings enjoyed by Our people throughout the said Dominion do call for a solemn and public acknowledgment have thought fit, by and with the advice of Our Privy Council for Canada, to appoint, and We do appoint Monday, the ninth day of October next as a day of general thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful crop and other blessings with which Canada has been favoured this year; And We do invite all Our loving subjects throughout Canada to observe the said day as a day of general thanksgiving.
Of All Which Our Loving Subjects and all others whom these Presents may concern are hereby required to take notice and to govern themselves accordingly.
In Testimony Whereof We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent and the Great Seal of Canada to be hereunto affixed: Witness: Our Right Trusty and Well-beloved John, Baron Tweedsmuir of Elsfield, a Member of Our Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of Our Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of Our Royal Victorian Order, Member of Our Order of the Companions of Honour, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Our Dominion of Canada.
At Our Government House, in Our City of Ottawa, this 25th day of August, in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine and in the Third year of Our Reign.

WHEREAS it is in and by Section 593 of the Canada Shipping Act, 1934, enacted that Our Governor in Council may, by proclamation, declare to be a public harbour any area covered with water within the jurisdiction of Our Parliament of Canada.
And whereas it is expedient and Our Privy Council for Canada has advised that the Harbour of Amherstburg, in the Province of Ontario, the limits of which shall be defined as all the waters of Detroit River and of Lake Eric on the Canadian side of the International boundary line south of the parallel of 42° 17' north latitude and west of the meridian of 83' 5' west longitude, be declared a public harbour.
Now Know Ye that We do by these Presents proclaim and declare the said harbour of Amherstburg to be a public harbour.
Of All Which Our Loving Subjects and all others whom these Presents may concern are hereby required to take notice and to govern themselves accordingly.

CHARLES CAMSELL,
Commissioner of the Northwest Territories
WHEREAS in and by Section Sixty of an Ordinance of the Northwest Territories Council assented to on the third day of July, in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, and intituled "Local Administrative District Ordinance," it is provided that the said Ordinance shall come into force on a day to be tired by proclamation of the Commissioner in Council.
And Whereas it is expedient that the said Ordinance should come into force and have client from and alter the first day of September, in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.
Now Know Ye that we by and with the advice of the Council of the Northwest Territories do by this Our Proclamation declare and direct that the said Ordinance shall come into force and have effect upon, from and alter the first day of September, in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.
Of Which all persons whom these Presents may concern are hereby required to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.
In Testimony Whereof we have caused the Seal of the Northwest Territories to be hereunto affixed.
