HIS Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that the undermentioned gentlemen have this day been chosen and summoned to be Members of the Federal Executive Council, and have been sworn as Executive Councillors, viz.:—

The Honorable Sir WILLIAM JOHN LYND, K.C.M.G.

The Honorable Sir JAMES ROBERT DICKSON, K.C.M.G.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that His Excellency, with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, has established the following Departments of State of the Commonwealth, viz.:—

THE DEPARTMENT OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S DEPARTMENT.

THE DEPARTMENT OF HOME AFFAIRS.

THE DEPARTMENT OF TREASURY.

THE DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND CUSTOMS.

THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE.

THE POSTMASTER GENERAL’S DEPARTMENT.
