CEDERSTRÖM, GUSTAV OLAF, Baron,
born in Stockholm, April 12, 1845. Genre
painter; pupil in Stockholm of Malmström,
and Winge, then (1876) in Düsseldorf of
Fagerlin; went in 1869 to Paris, where
he studied under Bonnat and Meïssonier.
Spent a few years in Florence and Rome,
but settled in Paris. Since 1878, member
of Stockholm Academy. Works: Early to
Bed and Early to Rise (1871); Mignon
(1873); Sickbed (1874); Epilogue, Stockholm
Museum; Dark Hours (1875); Transportation
of Charles XII. (1878); The
