THE
CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER'S
APPEAL TO THE NATION.
The speech here reprinted was delivered by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on September 19th, 1914, at a meeting at the Queen’s Hall, London. As will be seen from the speech itself, the audience was a Welsh one, but Mr. Lloyd George's appeal ts none the less to the whole nation. The non-party nature of the occasion was emphasised by the presence in the Chair of the Earl of Plymouth.
