?? Geo. III.Richard Newcome, bishop of Llandaff, was translated to this see pursuant to the King's recommendation of 3rd June 1761. He was elected 25th June, and confirmed 9th July^[3]. He died 4th June 1769.

1769
?? Geo. IIIJonathan Shipley, bishop of Llandaff, was nominated by the King in council 17th July 1769^[4], and elected 22nd Aug., pursuant to the congé d'élire which issued accordingly. The royal assent to his election was given 31st Aug.^[5] He was confirmed 8th Sept.^[6], and had the temporalities were restored to him 15th Sept.^[7] He died 9th Dec. 1788.

1789
?? Geo. III.Samuel Halifax, bishop of Glocester, was nominated to this see by the King in council 20th March 1789^[8], and was elected 4th April, pursuant to the King's congé d'élire^[9]. He received the royal assent 6th April, and was confirmed 25th April^[10], and had the temporalities on the 29th of the same month^[11]. He died 5th March 1790, aged 60.

1790
?? Geo. III.Lewis Bagot, bishop of Norwich, was nominated to St. Asaph by the King in council 26th March 1790^[12], and was elected 10th April, pursuant to the congé d'élire which issued accordingly. The royal assent to his election was given 14th April. He was confirmed 24th April^[13], and the temporalities were restored to him on the 28th of that month^[14]. He died 4th June 1802.

?? Geo. IIISamuel Horsley, bishop of Rochester, was nominated to St. Asaph by the King in council 19th June 1802^[15],
