Walter de Swafham, 20th May 139881. - Thomas Banister resigned ; and John Higate was instituted 29th Feb. 1432^-^.

Maurice Glynn died possessed of this dignity in 1525^*,
Thomas Runcorn succeeded in 1525, and died in 15568^.
Rowland Thomas held it in 1534 ; and then
Thomas Runcorn again in 1540.
William Man held it in 1554.
Edward Gregory was instituted i8th Oct, 1556^^.
Edmund Merrick enjoyed it in 1560, and died in i6io^7.
Edmund Griffith, instituted 10th March 1605; re- signed it in 1613.
Richard Gwyn instituted 5th Oct. 1613. Ob. 9th Sept. 161 7.
Edward Hughes was instituted 24th Oct. 1617 ; he was buried in the chancel of Woughton church 9th Oct. 1633.
William Mostyn was instituted 26th Oct. 1633, and died 1 67 1 or 1672. Bishop Robert Morgan held it in commendam, 23rd Oct. 1669; and so did his successor, bishop Humphrey Lloyd, till by an act of parliament made in 1685, this archdeaconry and that of Anglesey were declared to be perpetually annexed to the bi- shopric ; and so continued until the year 1 844, when
John Jones, B.D., was appointed archdeacon of Bangor 9th March 1 844.
