Aug. 1434. John Ashby succeeded 9th Aug. 1434^6. He was also
chancellor of this church. Ob. 1464. Simon Tawe, or Tawre, or Tavre, was collated 4th
Aug. 1464. He was also chancellor of this cathedral.
Ob. 1474. Robert Geffreys or Jeffrys, archdeacon of Salop,
succeeded in 1474; resigned it in 1476. John Arundel was collated 27th Sept. 1476, and was
made bishop of Lichfield in 1496. Peter Vannes possessed this stall in 1534. He died
in 1563, being dean of Salisbury. John Pedder was collated 15th May 1563, and died
in 1571, being dean of Worcester. Edward Threlkeld succeeded 6th Dec. 157 1. Hie
will, dated 22nd June 1588, was proved 15th Nov.
1589. He was also chancellor of the diocese. William Tovey was installed 17th March 1588, and
died in 1598. He was also prebendary of Worcester. Thomas Bache was collated 25th April 1598, and in- stalled 27th June following. Died about 1632. Samuel Barkley was collated 20th July 1632. Thomas Clent was installed 6th Sept. 1632. John Newton was collated 20th March 1672. He re- signed this prebend in 1674. Thomas Tr afford, installed 15th March 1675-6, and
died 20th Dec. 1685. Benjamin Pritchard was installed 26th Dec. 1685,
and died in 1702.
