He was elected to Norwich 31st July 1 575. A conge' d'elire, vice bi- shop Freke, issued 6th April 1 576 \ and 1576 John Piekse, S.T.P., dean of Christ Ckurch, Oxford, 18 Eliz. was elected ~th April (576'; the royal assent to his flection was given on the 1 2th' 1 . he was confirmed on the 14th of th' same month, and consecrated at Lam- beth the next day 7. W as nominated by the Queen 3 i.-t Jan. 1 - 77-8, elected by the chapter 1 Sth Feb., confirmed 15th March, and consecrated at Lambeth the next day'. He died 10th April 1605, setat. 71, and was buried at Bromley in Kent. His will is in the Prerogative Office of Can- terbury ".
