bishop of London. William Bewkt was collated 20th Dec. 1530: void
by the promotion of Stokesley '. His will was proved

void by the death of Bennef 6 . William Skyf occurs in j 537 7 John Skip, in 1538 8 ; made bishop of Hereford in 1.539. Thomas Cakneb, S.T.P., presented by the King, on
the promotion of Skip.
In the year 1542 this dignity was separated from
this diocese and annexed to the new-erected see of
Bristol (where the succession of the archdeacons of
Dorset may be found] until [836, when by order in

of protection, 13th June 1233". In 1244 he was
made bishop of Bath and Wells 15 .
