Anthony Hamilton, 29th Sept. 1770,[1] vice Jortin deceased. He resigned this archdeaconry for that of Colchester in Feb, 1775.
Richard Beadon, 22nd Feb. 1775.[2] He resigned on being made bishop of Gloucester in 1789.
William Bingham, 13th Aug. 1789,[3] vice Beadon promoted to the see of Gloucester. He resigned in 1813, and died 31st Dec. 1819.
Joseph Holen Pott, archdeacon of St. Alban's, 31st Dec. 1813;[4] he resigned in 1842. Ob. 16th Feb. 1847, ætat. 88.
William Hale Hale, 4th Nov. 1842, installed 12th Nov. vice Joseph Holden Pott.
This archdeaconry is rated for first fruits at 23l 13s. 4d[5]
ARCHDEACONS OF MIDDLESEX.
Roger held this office, and died about the year 1138.[6]
Richaed Fitz-Waltee or de Belmeis, had this dignity conferred on him in or about 1138.[7] He continued in this office in 1150, and in 1152 was made bishop of this see.
Ralph de Diceto, from this dignity was promoted to the deanery of this church in 1181.
Gibert was archdeacon of Middlesex in 1186[8] and in 1192.[9]
R...... enjoyed this dignity in or about 1203.[10]
William was archdeacon of Middlesex in 1220 and 1226.[11] He was also prebendary of Willesdon.
