Ralph de Alta Ripa, by the title of magister, enjoyed it in the time of bishop Gilbert Poliot, viz. between

Richard de Stobi 1 obd was so styled in 1 [84 ". He died in or before [215. He occurs as prebendary of Harleston.

John of Cwn ibbuby was the first master of the schools who bore the title of chancellor. He was so styled when Alard was dean, who died in 1216. He appears as prebendary of St. Pancras and Holy- well.

Gebvase de Hobbuggi was chancellor of London iii Id. Jul. ( 1 :5th Julv) 1 2 J4 ,: . He became than of St. Paul's.

Hi \i;v de Cobnhull succeeded to this dignity in 1217 \ He resigned in 1241, and was dean of this church in 1 24.)

William DE S. MabIA was chancellor in 1241. He died dean of this church in 1243.
