Laurent in Lucina, died pos- sessed of it in 1369. Philip, cardinal priest of SS. Marcellin and Peter, was provided to this dignity by the Pope in 1369. Peter, a cardinal, held it in 1372. Simon, a cardinal, was admitted on the death of Peter in 1374. He died in 1376. Guy, cardinal priest de Santa Croce^ was admitted ist Dec. 1376, on the death of Simon. John de Thoern was appointed 7th June 1380^^. Francis, a cardinal, held it in 1384^4^ and 9th Feb. 1386-7 15. Richard Conyngston appointed 12th May 1389^^. Richard de Corynham, the King's confessor^ held this dignity in 1405^7. William Pylton held it in 141 2. He was buried in a recess of the north wall in St. PauPs chapel of Exeter cathedraP^. William Felter was admitted nth July 1435. Thomas Kempe was collated 14th Dec. 1436^9, He resigned this archdeaconry for that of Richmond, 19th Nov. 1442. Andrew Holes was admitted 19th Dec. 1442. He died in 1470. Thomas Chippenham, S.T.P., was admitted 28th July 1470, vice Holes deceased. He died in 1477. Ralph Bothe, LL.B., was admitted 24th Feb. 1477-8, vice Chippenham.
