One of the three original prebends : endowed with the third part of the great tithes of Southwell, half the oblations offered in Southwell church at Pentecost, and certain temporals in Normanton near Southwell. Stephen, of Saint Mary heyond Tiber priest cardinal, held this prebend in i238"^ Henry de Skypton, held it in 1266 : canon of South- well in 1257 and 1284". Robert de la Forth held it circa 1 291 78. William de Rotherfeld resigning the prebend of Beckingham, seems to have been collated to this 1 9th Oct. 1 29179. See however Beckingham. John de Sandale held it in 133 1 and 1340 : canon of Southwell as late as 1359^*^.
