He died 30th Oct. 1665, and was buried in the cathedral ^^. William Thomas, S.T.P., was installed 25th Nov. 1665, and in 1677 he was made bishop of St. David's, but held this deanery in commendam till the year 1 683, when ho was translated to this see ^^. George Hickes^jS.T. P., was installed 13th Oct. 1683. Ho was deprived soon after the Revolution, and died 15th Dec. 1715, a?tat. 74, and was buried in St. Mar- garet's churchyard, Westminster. William Talbot, S.T.P., was nominated by the King to this deanery 22nd April 1691, and in 1699 ^^® ^^^ made bishop of Oxford, with leave to hold this dignity in commendam, which he enjoyed till 17 15, when he was translated to Salisbury. Francis Hare, S.T.P., was nominated 27th April 1 7 15, and collated 15th June following. He resigned in Oct. 1726, on being made dean of St. Paul's, London.
