the syncline however, east, northeast and northwest of Masonville , a peculiar condition exists. East of Masonville is a fold (anticline) in the Lyons and Fountain which is cut of entirely from the strata east and west. At Masonville the Dakota, Lykins and Lyons butt squarely into mica schist and play out. The Dakota does not appear to be dragged up, nor does the Jura, but the Lykins is dragged up sharply thus: ((drawing in field book)).
