In the lower right hand space on a red ground, shall be a straight and a crooked dagger crossed, symbolizing the Malay States.
Above the escutcheon, shall be placed the "Chakr" and Trident interset; while the whole shall be surmounred by the Royal Crown.
On either side of the escutcheon, shall stand a seven-tiered umbrella.
This shall be the Royal Standard and shall be for the exclusive usse of the Sovereign.
Whenever the Royal Standard is carried unfurled on a march it shuall indicate the presence of the Sovereign; His Majesty follows.
Wherever it is hoisted, it shall indicate that the Sovereign is in that place.
If the Sovereign is on board a Royal ship the Royal Standard must always be hoisted at the main mast.

THE KING'S COLOURS.
"AIYARABOD."
The King's Colours shall be a red flag with the figure of a three headed white elephant, caparisoned, standing on a pedestal and facing the staff. On its back shall be a "Puspok" or howda, inside of which is placed the "Unalom" symbol; on either side of the elephant shall be two seven-tiered umbrellas.
