This exclamation was repeated so constantly, and with such inexpressible transports, that, notwithstanding all my glory, I was half distracted with the noise, when, suddenly, the sovereign of the genii appeared, riding on a white elephant: he imposed silence on the clamorous assembly; then turning to me, said—Phanor, you are the arbiter of Prudina's destiny, do you pronounce sentence upon her.
