The number of days on which rain fell, and the total rainfall, were:—

1867, days 114, fall 37·82 inches
1868,   " 109,   " 38·29   do.
1869,   " 89,   " 27·68   do.

The averages being 102·3 days and 34·57 inches.

During the year 1876 the following results were obtained by observations taken at the Surveyor General's Office, Perth:—

Barometer, highest reading, 30·463 on 25th July

Do. lowest do., 29·319 on 13th Nov.
Giving a range for the year of 1·144 inches

Thermometer, max. in shade, 112° on 20th Feb.

Do., min. do., 34·7 on 24th July
Highest mean for one month, 93·7, February
Lowest do., 46·8, August

The total rainfall for the year 28·73 inches, which fell on 110 days.

Maximum for one month, 8·45 inches in June
Minimum do., 0·04 do. February

This year is to be noted for the small amount of the rainfall.

The Official Report from Bunbury for the year 1876 gives the following results:—
