Pa. Albright, Mrs. Eliza Downing, educator, temperance worker, was born March 13, 1847, in Philadelphia, Pa. After her marriage in 1867 to the Rev. Louis M. Albright, she was engaged in teaching mathematics and natural sciences in the Ohio wesleyan female college; and has also filled the chair of mathematics in the Depauw female college, of which institution her husband was president. Since 1877 she has been identified with the Ohio woman's christian temperance union and the woman's foreign missionary

He was educated at Albright college of Pennsylvania; and in 1893 graduated from the Medico-chirurgical college of Philadelphia with the degree of M.D. He is a, specialist on rectal diseases, cancer and hernia; proctologist to the post-graduate hospital of Philadelphia, Pa. and has a large special practice in that city. He is the
editor of Albright's Office Practitioner, a monthly journal of medicine. He is the author of The General Practitioner as a Specialist; and Business Methods of Specialists.

Albright, Evelyn May, educator, author, 1, 1880, in Sidney, Ohio. Since 1899 she has been an instructor in English at the Ohio wesleyan university. She is the author of The Short Story, Its Principles and Structure. Albright, Jacob, clergyman, bishop, was born May 1, 1759, in Pottstown, Pa. He made many converts, almost exclusively Germans; and in 1800 a separate church organization was created for them, Albright being their first presiding elder. He was appointed bishop in 1807. His denomination is now known as the evangelical association, but in many places its adherents are named Albrights. He died in 1808. For thirteen years he has been chaplain of the second Iowa cavalry association. In 1883-86 he was financial agent of Cornell college; and has dedicated numerous churches and seminaries. Since 1870 he has been a member of the upper Iowa conference of the methodist episcopal church; is serving his second six years' term as presiding elder; and in 1896 and 1900 represented his conference in the general conference of his church.
