He was the author of Tour in Italy; New Gazetteer of the L^nited States; History of Connecticut; Summer Tour of New England; The Northern Traveler The Roman Republic of 1849; The Kansas War; Life of Garibaldi; The Father's Book; First Lessons in Modern Greek; and School Dictionary of Roots and Derivatives. He died Oct. 18, 1866, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Dwight, Theodore William, educator, lawyer, jurist, author, was born July 18, 1833, in Catskill, N.Y. He became professor of municipal law in Columbia college in 1858. In 1874 he was made a judge of the commission of appeal. His poetical works are The Conquest of Canaan, Greenfield Hill, a pastoral; and The Triumph ot Infidelity, a satire.
