He was attorney-general of Louisiana; a member of the constitutional convention of 1845; and in 1846-52 was chief, justice of the supreme court. He died Dec. 23, 1858, in New Orleans, La. Eustis, Henry Lawrence, civil engineer, waa born Feb. 1, 1819, at Boston, Mass. In 184345 he assisted in the construction of Fort Warren and Lovell's island sea-wall in Boston harbor. He was brevetted brigadier-general of volunteers in 1863; and resigned in 1864, owing to impaired health. He died Jan. 11, 1885, in

Eustis, Percy Sprague, manager, was bom Feb. 16, 1857, in Milton, Mass. Until 1870 he was educated in the private schools of Philadelphia, Pa.; and in 1876 entered railroad employ in Nebraska with the Burlington and Missouri railway company. In 1880-8J he was chief clerk in charge of the passenger department; and in 1881-88 was general passenger and- ticket agent for the same company. In 1888 he was appointed general passenger agent of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad, with headquarters at Chicago, 111.; and since 1902 he has been passenger traffic manager of the entire system of that corporation. Eustis, William Henry, lawyer, statesman, was born July 17, 1845, in Oxbow, N.'S. He was educated at the Wesleyan university and Columbia school of law. In 1893-94 he was mayor of Minneapolis, Minn. In 1902 he was a special United States commissioner to the Hawaiian Islands; and in 1898 was a candidate for governor of Minnesota. He is a
