which the sun's motion is directed.
Lyræ, quite close to the brilliant star Vega. It is therefore interesting to notice that this gem of the Northern skies is also in the vicinity of the actual spot to which the system must be tending. Each of the other three groups of stars employed in Stumpe's researches places the apex at some little distance, though still within the boundaries of the same constellation. We shall certainly not be far wrong if we adopt the average position indicated by these four sets of stars as the final result of this most elaborate inquiry.
