Table 14 (a and b) gives the excitation values computed for a large number of representative monochromatic specifications, which were read off from Fig 9. It should be borne in mind that all of these values are subject to correction with improved determinations of the luminosity valences.
C. Trichromatic Data to Excitations.—Data obtained by the trichromatic method of analysis bear the most direct possible relation to color specification in terms of elementary excitations. However, no actual colorimeter based on this principle can duplicate in saturation the elementaries which were employed in computing the values of Table 6, at least in the case of the green excitation, and probably also in the cases of red and violet excitations.
