"All the 'giavoors' (infidels) are unholy in the eyes of God. Their property, their families, their lives and all that belongs to them, God delivers into your hands. "Among you will fall only those whose hearts are led astray by Satan, and whose souls shrink from their duty. Cowards are detestable to God, and still more detestable those who flee from the battle-field. The enemy shall not see your backs. He who fights for God must fall sword in hand.
"When one of you deserts the field of battle, God hardens the heart of his wife, who standing at the entrance of their 'chader' (tent), receives him with these words: 'Go; depart from me; you are not my husband! Why do I not see your wounds? Why have you returned alone? Where are your comrades? Go away! He who has dishonored his weapons cannot be my husband.' There is nothing bitterer than the reproach of a beloved woman. But the indignation and contempt of God for such a man is terrible.
"The blood of the enemies of our sacred religion is acceptable to God, and He receives the smoke of the burning homes of the infidels as the smoke of a holy sacrifice rising to the throne of the Eternal.
