13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, [1] Blessed are the dead [2] which die in the Lord ‖‖ Or, from henceforth saith the spirit, Yea. from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, [3] that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat [4] like unto the Son of man, [5] having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel [6] came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, [7] Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest [8] of the earth is ‖‖ Or, dried. ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, [9] which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, [10]Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into [11] the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And [12] the winepress was trodden [13] without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, [14] even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
CHAP.XV.
AND [15] I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, [16] seven angels having the seven last plagues; [17] for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
2 And I saw as it were [18] a sea of glass [19] mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, [20] and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, [21] having the harps of God.
3 And they sing [22] the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, [23] Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; [24] just and true are thy ways, thou King of ‖‖ Or, nations, or, ages. saints.
4 [25] Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for [26] all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
5 And after that I looked, and, behold, [27] the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
6 [28] And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, [29] clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.
7 [30] And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, [31] who liveth for ever and ever.
8 And [32] the temple was filled with smoke [33] from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
CHAP.XVI.
AND I heard a great voice out of the temple saying [34] to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials [35] of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial [36] upon the earth; and [37] there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men [38] which had the mark of the beast, and upon them [39] which worshipped his image.
3 And the second angel poured out his vial [40] upon the sea; and [41] it became as the blood of a dead man: [42] and every living soul died in the sea.
4 And the third angel poured out his vial [43] upon the rivers and fountains of waters; [44] and they became blood.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, [45] Thou art righteous, O Lord, [46] which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 For [47] they have shed the blood [48] of saints and prophets, [49] and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, [50] Lord God Almighty, [51] true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial [52] upon the sun; [53] and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were ‖‖ Or, burned. scorched with great heat, and [54] blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: [55] and they repented not [56] to give him glory.
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial [57] upon the seat of the beast; [58] and his kingdom was full of darkness; [59] and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
