I cannot set the time, however; and it would take too long to send a mes- senger after the child is bom, but if you are willing, choose someone to represent you, only so long as you have the name of godfather. •*John Luther entered the University of Wittenberg 1543, and, after hit father's death took up the study of law. In 1552 the Elector John Frederic gave him a position in the government which he continued to serve tmtil Us death in 1575. In 1553 he married Elizabeth, daughter of Caspar Cruciger.
