Represents the lungs and heart in the case of lymphadenoma described p. 148, et. seq.
A section has been made through the mediastinal tumour and pericardium, so as to show the heart in situ and its relation to the main portion of the tumour. The lines 4 a point to the spots where the thin border of the tumour passes gradually into the pulmonary pleura. At B, a small incision into the lung shows that the new growth had at this point invaded the tissue of the lung.
