Fanictda coarctata, spici- formis, basi quandoque iiiternipta, piirpureo-fusca, niteiis, sesquiuiK'ialis — binncialis, ramis subgcminatis, paucifloris, pedicellisque lacvibiis cum locusta continuis. Ohs. The specific name is that of i\Ir. Fisher, whose herbarium contained the most complete series of specimens of this grass.
