Pimelea longifolia, Banks and Sol.
A most charmingly handsome little shrub, seldom more than 6 ft. high. In mode of growth, foliage, and inflorescence, it closely resembles some of the Daphnes now so frequently cultivated in gardens. It is found throughout the North Island, and in the northern parts of the South Island. It flowers in March.
