FOR six years this REVIEW has published the principal Lectures delivered in France, England, Belgium, Germany, Italy, America, &c., chiefly in the following Institutions; the Collège de France, the Sorbonne, and the Aluseum of Natural Ifistory of Paris; the Royal Institution of Great Britain; the English, German, Italian, and American Universities; the British Association; the American Association; the Congress of German Naturalists; the Museum of Florence; the Royal Societies of London and Edinburgh and other learned Academies and Societies of Europe and America; the public lectures of Paris, London, Berlin, Frankfort, Turin, New York, &c.

The REVIEW is written both for the general public and scientific men.
