And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his diciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted, &c. &c.

The Tempest

Mark iv. 37, 38, 39.

And there aroso a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And ho was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow; and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we porish? And he aroso, and rebuked the wind, and he said unto the sea, Peace; be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
