Bush in Singa- pore to take charge of the engines of the Siamese steamer "Tiger" on her trip from Singapore to Bangkok, The two men went on board to their duty immediately and ordered the Siamese liremen to fire up. when there was little or no water in starboard boilers. The natives told the men of this important fact, and still they did fire up. The consequence was they burned the crown shects over the fires, thus ruining the boiler for future use until thoroughly repaired.
