X CONCEIT
A trembling leaf on an indifferent tree,
Defiant foam rebelling at the sea,
A drowsy flower surrendering to a bee—
I wonder which is you, and which is me?

The smallest leaf is life to every tree,
The furthest spray returneth to the sea,
The tightest bud must open to a bee,
If I am you, then, surely you are me?
