Poems.
FOR THE SAME.
Our Father! we have humbly come
To join our hearts in praise;
And here before thy sacred throne,
An offering to raise.
We thank thee for thy daily gifts,
Which thou around us spread,
We thank thee for thy holy word
We hear so often read.
To join our hearts in praise;
And here before thy sacred throne,
An offering to raise.
We thank thee for thy daily gifts,
Which thou around us spread,
We thank thee for thy holy word
We hear so often read.
We bless thee for the privilege,
Of here together meeting;
We thank thee that our little hearts,
In unison are beating.
We thank thee for our pastor's care,
He tells us thou art love,
And bids us look beyond this world,
To a brighter home above.
Of here together meeting;
We thank thee that our little hearts,
In unison are beating.
We thank thee for our pastor's care,
He tells us thou art love,
And bids us look beyond this world,
To a brighter home above.
We thank thee for our Sunday School,
For our kind teachers too;
And their instruction may we e'er
Keep constantly in view,
Father in Heaven! accept our thanks;
Look from thy seat on high;
Forgive our foibles, keep us all,
'Neath the shadow of thine eye.
For our kind teachers too;
And their instruction may we e'er
Keep constantly in view,
Father in Heaven! accept our thanks;
Look from thy seat on high;
Forgive our foibles, keep us all,
'Neath the shadow of thine eye.
