POEMS.

STANZAS SUGGESTED BY A VIEW OF BOSTON FROM THE CUPOLA OF THE STATE-HOUSE.
From Albion's isle I come,
I was born on a foreign strand,
Yet I love the Pilgrims' home,
And am proud on this spot to stand.

O, much did I long to see
The scenes of their bright career,—
Of the good, the brave, the free,—
Of their toils and their triumphs here!
