THE PARTING
I will forgive:-
You must forget:-
      Our lives must be,
      As we'd ne'er met
The World so wide,
We'll drift apart;
      Then mem'rys heart
      Will fade away
Like mist, before
The new-born day.
      The wounds, tho' deep,
      Will heal in time:-
You will forget
That I was thine
      I will forgive:-
      Fate so unkind.
