O LOVELY HEART

O lovely heart! O LoveNo more be sorrowfulBlue are the skies aboveThe Spring is beautifulAnd all the flowersAre blest with gentle showers.
Although the morning skiesAre heavy now with rainAnd your incredulous eyesAre wondering at your pain,Let them but weep. And after give them sleep.
O sorrowful! O heartWhose joy is difficultThough we two are apart—Know you shall yet exultAnd all the yearsBe fresher for your tears.
