���To avoid making passengers change cars in order to cross Suisun Bay, Oakland, Cal., a railway company operating between Oak- land and Sacramento transports its trains, loaded with passengers, across the bay on a gasoline-engine driven ferry (illustration on the left continued from preceding page).
