O God, who through the ressurection of Thy Son our Lord Jesus Christ hast vouchsafed to give joy to the whole world; grant us, we beseech Thee, that, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary His Mother, we may obtain the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

101.

THE "SALVE REGINA," ETC., AND THE "SUB TUUM PRÆSIDIUM," ETC.

i. 100 days, once a day.

ii. Seven years and seven quarantines, on Sundays, to all the faithful who, being moved by a spirit of true religion to make some reparation for the injuries done to the honour of Mary, Mother of God, and to the saints, by heretics, and to defend and propagate the worship (cultus) and veneration of their sacred images and pictures, shall to this end say at morn the Salve Regina, &c., with the VV. Dignare me, &c., and Benedictus Deus in sanctis suis, and at even, Sub tuum præsidium, &c., with the same versicles.

iii. Plenary, twice a month, on any two Sundays in the month.

iv. Plenary, on every Feast of our Blessed Lady, and on the Feast of All Saints.

v. Plenary, at the hour of death, to all who have been accustomed during life to say these prayers, provided they have been to Confession and Communion, or are at least contrite in heart.
