The Royal Princeſs.

As we was a Cruſing, a Cruſing hard by
We ſpy'd a large ſhip to the windward did ly
We ſpy'd a large ſhip to windward did ly,
And from under her M'zen black colours let fly,
O then ſaid our Captain what ſhall we do, now.

This is a bold pirate we'll be ſhure to bring too,
No, no, ſaid our mate boys it muſt not be ſo,
We'll ſhake out a roof boys & from him we'll go,
But ſoon this bold pirate ſheer'd up a longſide

With a loud ſpeaking trumpet from
whence, come ſhe cry'd
Our Captain jump'd after and anſwered him ſo,
We ſent him an anſwer we came from Burdow

We muſter'd our ſmall guns on the quarter deck ſo high,
And ſo bravely as we muſter'd our ſhip company,
We turn'd our jackets was lined with red
Which put this bold pirate into a fad dread.
